Hexinverter Mutant Clap Drum
The Hexinverter Mutant Clap is an analog hihat synthesizer voice, taking inspiration from classic TR-909 sounds and extending them to provide a versatile percussive sound source. While the module certainly derives inspiration from the 909, it is a different beast entirely. The module offers a convenient front panel layout and extensive modulation controls that afford the ability for effortless sound sculpting. Even more, it can be used independently of its internal sound source for external signal processing. Feeding external signals into the module’s circuitry is a great means of generating interesting and esoteric percussive sounds. If all that wasn’t enough, the Mutant Clap can also be used as a dedicated VC noise oscillator!
