The Hexinverter Mutant Rimshot is a unique analog rimshot and clave percussion module optimized for use in Eurorack modular synthesizers. Inspired the classic woody plonks and pings of the Roland 909 rimshot, this time-tested design has been mutated to inspire new sounds and signal manipulations. With plethora of CV options, external input, and a multimode analog filter, the Mutant Rimshot excels in creation of both traditional and esoteric percussion sounds.

Three oscillator modes provide a wide span of timbres from kick drums to ringing bells, and of course its trademark rimshot sounds. Adding a noise source to the VCF input unlocks snappy snares and sizzles. With sound design potential reaching far beyond most purpose-built drum modules, the Mutant Rimshot is ready to liven up your percussion section like never before.
