Berlin Leibniz Oscillator
XAOC Devices Berlin
The latest addition to the Leibniz module family, Berlin is a digital oscillator by XAOC Devices with an incredibly wide-ranging internal clock. On the surface, this seems like a pretty standard oscillator with sawtooth and square wave outputs, but a high-speed clock inside allows for an incredible frequency range. In LFO mode cycles are as slow as 30 seconds long, but the upper range extends well above human hearing ranges to 250kHz. While not audible, applications for this high-speed clock include controlling BBD delays, or other modules in the XAOC Leibniz series.
Speaking of the Leibniz modules, Berlin's LBZ Link button allows it to access data from connected Leibniz devices like Jena or Rostock. When this happens, the sawtooth wave is replaced with a variable waveform derived from the data floating around in those modules, leaning into territory akin to classic wavetable synthesizers. If you're looking for a compact oscillator that can veer into unexpected territories, the XAOC Devices Berlin is sure to spice things up.
