Ciat-Lonbarde Tocante Bass Thyris

Specializing in low drones, tones, and undulations, the Tocante Bass Thyris from Ciat-Lonbarde is a solar-powered, triangle-wave touch synthesizer. Pre-defined notes, as chosen by the resistor values inside, don't correspond to Western musical intervals but instead, offer a palette of neutral intervals and just-tuned relationships. The entire Tocante line features different scales between the Redd and Green instruments, meaning that collectors and ensembles could achieve a wider range of musical colors.

Tocantes also differ in their tone generators, and their touch-plate design corresponds with what's inside. Thyris, with its triangle touch plates thus produces triangle waves, which may then be inter-modulated by touching other portions of the surface.
