Modbap's second module, Osiris, is a bi-fidelity wavetable oscillator packed with a variety of shaping and textural controls for a wide range of applications. Osiris offers 128 wavetables pre-packed inside, but you can also introduce new wavetables by uploading your own to an SD card via their OsirisEdit application for even more creative possibilities. Osiris sweeps through wavetables on both the X and Y axis, allowing for a highly morphable sound with more dimension than your traditional wavetable oscillator. The timbre mode section offers six different waveshaping modes including unison, bend, fold, sync, noise, and variable FM that are dialed in via the amount parameter (which is CV-controllable), and the fidelity parameter allows you to blend between a high-fidelity, 96kHz clean wavetable and a much lower resolution for lo-fi textures.

The flexible sub oscillator found on Osiris is normalled to the mix output with control over level and multiple waveshapes, including square, sine, triangle, and replicas of the original wavetable at -1 and -2 octaves. But perhaps the coolest feature of the sub oscillator is its independent 1V/oct input, making it possible to patch Osiris as a paraphonic or duophonic sound source. Additional features include an internal VCA, pitch quantization, and a sync button that resets the wave when Osiris receives a trigger. The internal VCA can be triggered manually or externally and includes dedicated VCA amount and decay control, both CV controllable. Whether making gnarly basses, sample-reduced leads, or plucky percussion, Osiris offers the flexibility to explore sound in engaging and refreshing ways.
