Joranalogue Fold 6
Combining both series and parallel diode wavefolders, the Fold 6 from Joranalogue is a timbre shaping powerhouse in only 4hp. It's perfect for adding harmonics to simple waveforms such as sines and triangle waves, but of course, you can use any signal you'd like—it is modular, after all.
Two inputs are available, great for mixing audio signals or to add an additional DC voltage offset for asymmetrical folding, in addition to the onboard symmetry control. The fold and shape controls have both manual and CV control over their levels, allowing for even more complex wavefolding possibilities. Choose between the main (series) or alternate (parallel) wavefolding styles which each offer their own sonic character and folding behavior. A soft clipping circuit limits the output to 10Vpp, keeping it within standard Eurorack limits and facilitating more overdriven sounds at high fold ratios.
While there are a plethora of filter options available in Eurorack, wavefolders fall within only a few categories, and the Fold 6 brings two of those types together in one package for a one-two punch of wavefolding goodness.

Joranalogue's unique approach to synthesizer design leaves a lot open to the performer's imagination. Rather than building straightforward, conventional sound sources, controllers, or processors, they instead make highly multi-functional modules that can cover a lot of different ground in any given patch. While that can be inspiring for some, it might be intimidating for others...but luckily, Boris is here to show us the way.
In this demo, Boris shows how a number of their modules can interact to create everything from evolving sound design to high-controlled rhythms and beyond. If you're into super powerful, performable modular synths—and hey, who isn't?—then you're gonna want to take a long hard look at what Joranalogue is doing.
