The IO Instruments Themisto is an analog VCO with six waveforms and a wide frequency range, perfect both as a source of melodies or modulation. The five simultaneously available waveforms include sine, triangle, ramp, saw, pulse, and a sub-oscillator output that features phase inversion. It offers simultaneous linear and exponential FM with modulation depth controls for each. The 1V/Oct input accepts a range of 0–10V and features a buffered CV thru, useful for sending a sequence to multiple oscillators. It also has a reset/sync input, also with buffered thru output. The pulse wave has adjustable width with manual and CV control that goes from 0–100%. Themisto can be used as a VCO or LFO, with a button to select the frequency range. Themisto offers clean waveforms, versatile modulation, and wide frequency range into one package.
