Intellijel Designs Atlantix

Intellijel's much anticipated successor to the Atlantis is here: Atlantix is a full subtractive synth voice inspired by the classic Roland SH-101. Based around two triangle-core VCOs, you get a surprising amount of flexibility and control thanks in part to the TZFM capabilities for VCO A with a dedicated FM amplifier for musical precision. VCO B can be used as either a modulation source or stacked for creating thick bass, lush pads, or powerful leads with independent octave switching and a bonus Spike waveform output that's a square with fixed HPF. Adjust the balance of VCO A's waveforms, including a Sub, Noise, and two Aux sliders that are normalized to two additional VCO A waveforms—triangle and sine—or VCO B's square and saw with the built-in 6 channel mixer. A unique feature of the Aux 2 input is the option to skip the VCF and go directly to the VCA, an architecture that was inspired by the CS-80 which can lead to some glassy tones and added harmonics.

A multimode 4-pole filter gives you lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and a phaser mode. Capable of self-oscillation, the filter tracks precisely at 1v/oct and you get three built in modulation sources: two FM sliders, and an Envelope slider. FM2 and Envelope are capable of inversion; the expander gives you dedicated outputs for each filter mode. Modulation is a huge reason the SH-101 has so many options for creative sounds and with the Atlantix, you get two 8-position switches for Mod X and Y with polarity options for Bipolar or Unipolar functionality. Mod X is normalized to the pitch of VCO A and Mod Y to the frequency of the VCF with dedicated outputs to let you patch throughout your system. The VCA has two different flavors of drive to give your sound a wonderful warmth.

Intellijel's Atlantix can be the center of your system providing all the sonic sculpting you could want with the character of analog.
