Rather than a normal linear patchbay, think of Patch LT as a sort of matrix with signal routing and multing controlled by the companion Patch App. And of course, digital control comes with its own advantages such as patch recall, easy labeling of sources and destinations, and the convenience of not having a stack of cables in your recording space. And so long as you maintain a USB connection to your Mac or Windows computer, you can continue to adjust and configure routings mid-session.

The Patch LT hardware unit itself is compact yet robust for professional studio usage. 16 inputs and 16 outputs are available through DB25 connectors, which is plenty for modest project studios. There's also phantom power available, which means that your condenser microphones and inline preamps can get in on the routing fun, too. And if you've got a new piece of gear to try out, a single XLR input and output gives you the ability to patch right in from the front panel without needing to tear apart your whole rack.
