API's 3122V is a dual channel microphone preamplifier rack unit featuring all the same analog love and characteristics found in other API preamps. Fitting nicely in the middle between the 312 500 series and 3124V, the 3122V features high quality parts, loads of gain, and a stellar output transformer that makes your sound punchy and full. Each channel features a mirrored front/rear XLR mic input with the front showcasing a combo XLR/TS for taking on unbalanced line and even Hi-Z instrument signals. Selecting the type of input is easy and adding gain is no issue with the 3122V, with up to +68dB for microphones and +48dB for instruments and line level signals.

Power your condenser mics with the onboard +48V phantom power per channel, and for your hotter dynamic mic and instrument signals, the 3122V features a -20dB pad for extra protection against unwanted input clipping. Cleaning up your inputs is no problem for the 3122V with both a polarity inverter for correcting phase issues as well as a unique addition of a fixed 50Hz high pass filter, taking care of unwanted rumble and low end. The flavor of API's signature sound comes into play on the output transformer with the 3122V featuring the classic 2520 op-amp for fat and powerful sounds. Monitor and match your output level with the level control and well-lit VU meter, and engaging the 3:1 button loosens the restraints of the output ratio from 1:3 to 1:1.
