After Later Audio Rainier
Rainier from After Later Audio takes inspiration from and adapts Mutable Instruments' Peaks modulation source, morphing it into a new entity. This versatile source of modulation and drum sounds is a perfect addition to any modular setup. The original Peaks had four basic modes to choose from, envelope, free-running LFO, tap-tempo LFO, and drum sounds. A more recent firmware update added a whole host of new features that really fill out the modulation possibilities contained in the module. These include random modulation, more drum modes, and more complex LFOs and envelope behavior.
The two outputs can share a common algorithm or split into two independent algorithms. Four CV inputs with attenuverters now grace the panel, allowing you to modulate the modulation parameters. In addition, attenuverters on both outputs provide hands-on control over modulation depth for modules that lack input attenuverters or direct control over the drum levels. Useful and versatile, Rainier takes the basic architecture of Peaks and runs with it, adding a host of new features.
