Syntonie Stable
Stable from Syntonie is a video processor and glitch stabilizer module that is a necessity for anyone working with glitched footage and looking to capture it without dropping frames. It is divided into two distinct sections: the Processor and Stabilizer.
The Processor section can create dramatic solarization, intense feedback, and colorful adjustments. Controls available are for the Saturation, Hue, Brightness, and Contrast, with CV input and attenuation for all parameters. Self-patching can yield some delightful results—but of course, Stable also excels when used in conjunction with external modulation sources.
The Stabilization circuit works best when feeding a clean video signal into the Processing section, then along to your glitch effect, and back into the Stabilizer section before finally going to your capture device. Distinct from a time base corrector, the Stable module uses an analog technique to stabilize glitched video signals by extracting the sync from the Processor output.
Stable is designed for Composite (yellow RCA) signals, but it can also process the Y (green RCA) from a component source—it will just be in black and white, and requires the Chroma Filter to be set to the off position.
If you're a video artist who uses glitch effects or want a great way to add some analog neon to your composite video, Syntonie's Stable is the module for you.
