Rainger makes compact, unique effects pedals that provide a fairly specific duty and their MiniDrone drone tone pedal is no different. As the name portends, you can generate a tunable drone note or double-stop that provides a thick bed of three bassy triangle waves. Two of these waves are in unison, though every so slightly out of phase, with the third one able to be independently tuned to create intervallic (dis)harmony. Shipped with the Igor external soft pedal, on a press the pitch will shift down a whole step or half step (switchable) when pressed, then move back to the original pitch on release. This makes the MiniDrone effortlessly playable and delightfully musical.
