Noise Engineering Xer Mixa

Applying their digital design prowess to an analog mixing platform, Xer Mixa is the magnum opus of modular mixing from Noise Engineering, sporting ten stereo channels, triple output buses, state presets, MIDI I/O, and more. Xer Mixa is only digital where it counts—the signal path is 100% analog from start to finish, offering no degradation in quality or unwanted noise. But for practically every other aspect of how the mixer operates, from defining settings such as pan and send levels to creating global settings and saving configuration presets, Xer Mixa offers robust digital capabilities that push the boundaries of what an otherwise basic mixer can do.

Across the front panel, each channel of Xer Mixa offers stereo audio inputs, a selection button, a level fader for channels one through eight, and a mute switch. Channels A and B don't feature a level control, but this affords their usage as unity gain inputs for cascading sub-mixes into Xer Mixa or for stereo effects returns. A Pan control is available, which may be used on the currently selected channel for adjustments. At the bottom right are the display and menu navigation controls, allowing you to dive in and assign channels to have pre or post-fader sends, a number of different pan-law settings, and a number of other per-channel features. Channels may be routed to any of the three stereo output buses along the top, while MIDI I/O allows for remote control of nearly any aspect of Xer Mixa. And if you crave external control voltages to modulate your mixes, the Expando Expandi expander module is available separately for this purpose.
