Electus Versio
Continuing their line of Versios, Noise Engineering's Electus Versio is a different take on the Desmodus Versio, giving you a stereo delay and reverb with some new and destructive properties. Electus features all the same parameters as Desmodus, including a dry/wet blend control, feedback of delay and reverb, tone of the effect, density of the delays, delay time, and the modulation index & speed controls. Additionally, you get the same brilliant reverb flavors via a three-way switch, including limit, distortion, and shimmer—all great for a wide variety from dark and twisted to bright and ethereal effects.
Unlike Desmodus, Electus Versio is a clockable effect, with options for tapping in your tempo via the Tap button or even syncing to an external clock signal. The size parameter, controlling the delay time, now acts more as a time division of whatever the main clock source is—great for creating intricate and modulated synchronized rhythms. Instead of the three-way switch for determining how delay lines respond from panel controls found on Desmodus, Electus' switch, L/C/R, changes how the delay lines connect with one another, acting more like a reverb's reflection structure.
Like every other Versio, Electus can be swapped with any Versio firmware from your computer with the USB connection on the back of the module. Electus Versio from Noise Engineering is a wonderful addition to the Versio family for adding synchronized ambiences to any modular system.
