The Cranborne Audio 500ADAT is an eight-slot 500-series rack, optical audio interface, analog summing mixer, monitor controller, and mixer, all in a 4U/19" format. Add your favorite 500-series modules to get a comprehensive and modular hybrid studio setup that works great for recording, mixing, and mastering. The 500R8 provides plenty of clean power to comfortably use with up to eight power-hungry 500-series modules. And with ADAT optical I/O, its an easy extension for a variety of audio interfaces out there.

Each channel features XLR in and out, plus an insert on TRS. The built-in summing mixer includes a selection for level, panning, and routing. Record directly into your computer using your favorite preamps. Or go the other way, route your audio from your DAW and process it with EQs or compressors. Connect to other Cranborne Audio devices using the C.A.S.T. system, which offers four channels of balanced analog audio over CAT-5 cables. The 500ADAT is not simply a housing for 500-series units, it is the new centerpiece to your entire studio.

With Cranborne's Carnaby 500, you can bring an equalizer with character to your 500 series rack thanks to its unique Harmonic EQ design. Unlike most other EQs which simply boost or cut the volume for each frequency band, the Carnaby 500 actually uses different flavors of harmonic saturation to create an intriguing coloration on your audio signals. All three bands on the Carnaby 500 are sweepable, thus easily tuned to the music that you're working with. And if you've got two or more, engage the OPTOSYNC feature to use the leftmost module as your master unit—easily coordinate stereo, surround, and other multi-channel chains. Best of all, if the Carnaby 500 modules are installed next to each other, no cables are needed for OPTOSYNC, but a courtesy 3.5mm TRS jack is available if needed.
