Ciat-Lonbarde Shbobo Shnth
Shnth, from the Shbobo synthmall store of Peter Blasser and Ciat-Lonbarde, is a portable digital synthesizers with wooden bars and various sensors to process and interpret touch and sound around you. The ARM Cortex microcontroller inside of Shnth is programmed with a custom music programming language known as SHLISP, and may be done with a connection to any Mac, Windows, or Linux computer via USB connection.
Bearing strong resemblance to analog Ciat-Lonbarde instruments such as the Sidrax, Shnth augments the wooden touch bar interface with a few additional buttons for triggering, modifying, and navigating sounds. Underneath, you'll find woven antennae for interacting with sounds in ways that change depending on how you're holding the Shnth. Both a microphone and stereo line input are available to process sounds, and a dedicated line output transmits Shnth's sonic sorcery out to speakers and recording interfaces. There are many programmable synthesizers out there, but none are as mysterious and enigmatic as Shnth.
