Zlob Modular Entropy Expander

The Entropy Expander from Zlob Modular provides additional functionality to the Entropy, a source of random modulation. It adds a slew generator for the sample/track and hold section for adding smooth transitions between voltage levels. The random gate output uses a comparator and a normalled white noise source to create gate signals whose density is determined by the threshold setting. Other signals can be patched in to break this normalization and the threshold level sets the point at which the output signal of the comparator goes high. Both blue and violet noise have been added, which are noise types with high frequency content. The entropy output employs a switch to select the output between the sample/track and hold when the signal is low, and the infra when the input signal is high. By default, the random gates are normalled into this switch input but this can be overridden by external signals. Combining the Entropy with its dedicated expander provides a powerhouse of random modulation.
