Yamaha's D-PRE preamp design features an inverted Darlington circuit, producing tons of clean gain for microphones, instruments, synths, and other sources. Shape things up with the handy one-knob compressor, and make use of the channel EQs and four auxiliary sends to sculpt, mix, and apply effects as desired. You can even group channels into busses and create submixes!

The MG16XU boasts 24 onboard effects, ranging from delays and reverbs to specia pitch effects—these offer a convneient way to add dimension to your mix. Additionally, USB audio interface capabilities allow you to take the stereo mix output and capture it in a DAW or other recording software on a computer or iPad (with Apple Camera Connection Kit sold separately).
