XAOC Devices Zagrzeb
Some stereo filter modules don't need to occupy a ton of rack real-estate, and the Zagrzeb from XAOC Devices gets straight to the point, perfect for shaping stereo audio with immediacy. The four-pole design gives it the coveted 24dB/Oct filter slope, with dedicated outputs for lowpass, highpass, and bandpass responses. But a unique aspect of the Zagrzeb is that the bandpass offers three different configurations—because a bandpass filter is constructed from a lowpass and highpass filter in series, each mode redistributes the four stages to the low and high frequency components of the filter. This allows for an equal rolloff of frequencies around the cutoff point, or skewed more in favor of the high or low direction.
Stereo filtering in a context as inspiring as Eurorack doesn't mean that Zagrzeb is simply limited to even control over the left and right audio channels. The Spread CV input applies opposite movement to both sides, resulting in dramatic stereo movement. Patch in an LFO for smooth motion, or get creative and patch a copy of your oscillator's pitch sequence in for simultaneously increasing and decreasing filtering across a wide range of notes. If you need a stereo filter with no fuss to get the job done, look no further than the Zagrzeb.
