Winterbloom Castor & Pollux II

Winterbloom's Castor & Pollux II is the same Juno-106-inspired dual oscillator with a couple updates that make this version even better. Aesthetically, the front panel has been redesigned to have two large pitch knobs for each of the oscillators, along with the Pulse Width, LFO, and Crossfade trimpots being replaced by larger knobs. Additionally, individual waveform outputs have been relocated to an included 2hp expander with the Ramp, Pulse, and Sub outputs for each oscillator present. On the main module, all patch points have been moved to the bottom, giving you better access to the jacks no matter which row you install it on.

Castor & Pollux II's sound is still fantastically versatile, letting its oscillators function independently or together thanks to the multiple output options. Use the Crossfade knob and output to create a harmonically rich voice as well as each oscillator's mixed waveform output. Tuning has a unique and practical function where you coarsely tune with nothing patched then, when you patch into the V/Oct patch point, the Pitch knob is now a fine tuner +/- 1 octave.

On top of all of this, you get an internal LFO that modulates either a Chorus, Pulse Width, or Frequency Modulation. All settings you can adjust via the web editor by connecting the module with a USB cable. Winterbloom's Castor & Pollux II is an absolute unit of an oscillator that has so many sonic options available to you, it is possible to work in any rack.
