Walrus Audio 385 MkII

Updating one of their more unique overdrive pedal designs, the 385 MkII by Walrus Audio boasts two sets of Volume and Gain controls for amp-like channel switching, plus a higher gain mode for thicker distortion. Unlike other contemporary overdrive pedals, the 385 MkII isn't based on a famous amp or classic pedal circuit but rather... a film projector. Indeed, rascally guitar players in their never-ending pursuit of tone have long looked in unexpected places for inspiring sounds, and the 385 MkII is based on Bell and Howell 385 projectors modified for this purpose.

Where the 385 MkII pedal expands on what the original could do is in its 2-band EQ section. The original projector/amp featured a simple tone control, but Walrus has split this out into Treble and Bass controls for more versatility in crafting tones. Additionally, the A/B switch allows you to toggle between separate Gain and Volume settings for boost or channel-switching purposes. And if you need even more gain, flip the 385+ Switch up for thicker drives. Bring a different flavor of tone and versatility to your rig with the 385 MkII from Walrus Audio.
