Synthesis Technology began life in 1998 with the establishment of the MOTM modular format. Like the Moog modular equipment from the ‘70s, MOTM utilized the 5U size and ¼” jacks along with the insights afforded by modern engineering. Decades later, with the advancement of microcontroller technology, the MOTM system was expanded with cutting edge digital modules.
In 2010, Synthesis Technology released their first module in the eurorack format, the E340 Cloud Generator—and the rest is history. To date, Synthesis Technology have released some of the most pragmatic modules in the entire format, including the E352 Cloud Terrarium (a combination of their E340 and E350 modules), and the upcoming E370 Quad Morphing VCO. Sonically, their products cover almost every conceivable range of synthesis, providing some of the most lush and/or punishing sounds imaginable.
