Surfy Industries SurfyBear Studio
The Surfy Industries Surfy Bear Studio is a rack mountable spring reverb that offers pseudo stereo output. Equipped with their SurfyPan 4, the studio edition is the same Fender-inspired spring reverb but perfectly suited for a studio environment. With a wide range of controls, you start with a Dwell control that sets how much drive goes into the reverb spring. You then get controls for an envelope follower of sorts with a Threshold, for how loud you need to open the gate, and then a Decay that sets the length of the time it needs to close. Other controls are more standard with one for Tone, Mix and Volume—Width is the only other strange one and that adds a little bit of stereo processing to help create a nice wide sound. Perfect for any studio or even a travel rack, the Surfy Bear Studio edition is a unique reverb for any instrument.
