Strymon's Cloudburst is a new ambient reverb, in a smaller housing with a more affordable price, offering exceptional pad-like sounds thanks to a new Ensemble engine that can move from small to nearly infinite. The Ensemble engine uses your harmonic content to create pads and soundscapes that change based on your playing position, so you get different responses if you play by the neck vs the bridge. Based on the Cloud algorithm in the BigSky, Cloudburst builds on that lineage and gives you all the standard reverb controls that you would need: Decay, Pre-Delay, Mix, Tone, and Modulation. With the proper knob combinations, you can have just about any sort of reverb you can imagine meaning this could be your only reverb. Combining that with the EXP/MIDI TRS port, you can have access to multiple presets, have an external Infinite switch, or use an expression pedal for control over parameters in real time. With the Cloudburst from Strymon, you get ambient dreams, woozy haze, subtle halls, and small room ambience all in one pedal.
