Strymon AA.1
Strymon's AA.1 is the perfect link between a eurorack modular synthesizer rig and guitar pedals. This compact 4HP module works great in tandem with modules sporting send/return functionality, such as Strymon's Magneto tape delay emulator. Simply connect a guitar or bass for easy routing into the modular abyss or send an instrument level stereo signal from a modular synthesizer into an external interface.
AA.1 features a 1/4" stereo input for amplifying instrument-level signals by +18dB. This input is routed through 1/8" stereo outputs that can also be run in mono simply by patching into the left channel only. Conversely, the adjacent L/R 1/8" ins attenuate those characteristically hot eurorack signals down to -18dB, outputting them through L/R 1/4" outputs.

Most Eurorack modules output very hot audio signal levels that can easily overload the inputs of effects pedals or computer audio interfaces. The audio inputs in a Eurorack system also need to receive very hot signals. AA.1 amplifies and attenuates the signals to the appropriate levels, allowing you to combine your guitar gear and Eurorack modules in just about any way you can imagine. Check out the video to see four common use cases with musical examples and signal routing explanations.
