NGEN from Spektro Audio is a 16-track algorithmic composition and live performance utility, generating sequences at the touch of a button for controlling MIDI and CV devices. Utilizing unique and musically-informed algorithms like ACDGEN, which creates melodies and basslines inspired by acid techno and house. In addition to musical algorithms like ACDGEN, the NGEN also includes practical MIDI utilities like an input sequencer and simple MIDI Thru utility.

Once you've got a sequence going, you can adjust and tweak its parameters in real time using the physical panel controls and crystal clear OLED display. Each algorithm features unique parameters related to the compositional techniques they emulate, making every twist of a knob add consequential changes to the musical arrangement in progress. Add in MIDI FX per-track like Glitch and Humanizer for even more options to fine tune your sequences. Each track in NGEN will follow global settings for scale, keeping everything singing nicely together in diatonic alignment.

Designed with the live performer in mind, NGEN can save and recall sequences for a prepared live set, and let you improvise within the world you've created via the panel controls or an external MIDI controller. Using the performance mode, you can set up macro controls to affect up to 4 parameters simultaneously. With USB, TRS MIDI in/out, and two pairs of CV and gate outputs, NGEN can shake up just about any set-up in your studio.
