Offload your interfacing to your computer or device with the Soundcraft Ui12, a 12-channel digital mixer offering a detethering from the traditional confines of a mixer. The physical unit features eight microphone inputs, with four of them being combination jacks and two of those accepting Hi-Z signals, offering tons of flexibility and support of line, mic, and instrument level signals. Along with main mix outputs and a pair of auxiliary outputs, you have two dedicated headphone outputs alongside a stereo RCA line input for quick auxiliary input access. You can insert a USB drive into the Ui12 for stereo media playback of more popular formats including MP3, WAV, and AIFF—easily integrating backing tracks or reference mixes into your setup.

Where Ui12 deviates from your standard mixer is the subtraction of all the onboard pots, faders, and controls, making it easy to tuck away with less need for desk space. By connecting any device, be it operated by Windows, MacOS, iOS, or Android, you can access all mixing parameters of the Ui12 from any HTML5 supported device—just open your browser, link your Ui12 over WiFi, and voila! The in-browser experience is seamless, featuring four-band parametric EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, de-esser, and noise gate per input channel along with a 31-band graphic EQ and compressor on all outputs. Effects from Lexicon, Digitech, and dbx offer a wide range of timbral and time-based effects to add space and interest to your mixes, including insert effects as well as send/return busses.

If WiFi is not stable enough, there is an additional ethernet port for hooking your Ui12 up to a local computer or portable laptop with exactly identical functionality. All shows and snapshots have full recallability for easy access to previous works and setting up presets for future mixes, and because Ui12 can host up to 10 different devices, you can have specified control from engineers as well as the musicians and performers.
