Perform with one of the seventeen unique synth engines, and create compositions with the onboard sequencer and powerful four-track looper. Thirty-three effects add embellishments to your sounds from subtle to startling, and the velocity-enabled keyboard makes it easy to take expressive solos over your sequences and loops.

Providing a comprehensive assortment of digital synth engines, ELZ_1 Play includes lo-fi 8-bit engines, classic virtual analogs, filtered noise voices, granular synthesis, wave mangling in multiple modes, FM engines, physical modeling, detuned super oscillators, and even a drum machine! Within all of these engines, you can explore preset sounds or craft your own tones for later use in your projects. Control these sounds with multiple envelope types, and sculpt audio with a wide variety of filters. While each engine features a different polyphony count, all engines offer at least six voices, with many providing full, twenty note polyphony.

Play your sounds live with the onboard keyboard controls, or create rhythmic harmonic patterns with the multimode arpeggiator. A single track sequencer with up to 128 steps per pattern is great for creating precise drum sequences, with unquantized recording available via microtiming features. The heart of ELZ_1 Play's compositional capacities lie in its formidable four-track looper, which makes it simple to quickly build layered song ideas. Each track can be overdubbed and adjusted, with adjustable record time quantizations, one shot playback, and undo/redo functionality.

ELZ_1 Play integrates seamlessly into any audio workflow, with MIDI connectivity via 5-pin and USB, as well as 3.5mm TS SYNC in and out for connecting to analog sync capable gear. An auxiliary input lets you record into the looper from external instruments, add effects, and more. Adding a huge amount of convenience and creative potential, ELZ_1 Play can also connect as a two in, two out USB audio interface, letting you stream audio to and from a computer with ease.
