Shakmat Modular Bard Quartet
The Shakmat Modular Bard Quartet is a four-channel CV quantizer with an intuitive interface that's perfect for creating melodic sequences. Easily dial in the notes of your scale using the piano-style layout, or use one of the 80 built-in or freely editable harmonic configurations stored in non-volatile memory. The scale, octave shift, and I/O may be independently edited on a per-channel basis by manual adjustments or control voltage.
Arpeggiate chords and harmonic figures easily with Bard Quartet's onboard arpeggiator, featuring editable octave spread and direction. Using CV to control this quantizer allows for evolving harmonies or chord changes that occur over time. Not only constrained to western 12-TET scales, Bard Quartet features microtonal quantization, with each note able to be individually detuned by up to 50 cents. Additionally, Bard Quartet accepts several forms of CV tuning, including V/Oct, Hz/V, and Buchla tunings for a wide range of use cases. Bard Quartet is a versatile quantizer that's easy to use but allows for deep editing and customization.
