RYK Modular ALGO

Algo from RYK Modular is a stereo 4-operator FM synth engine, providing a straightforward, menu-free interface for directly interacting with complex oscillations, cross modulation, and additive synthesis. Four oscillators give you flexibility in creating classic and adventurous FM tones, configurable in both series and parallel combinations. Unlike clunky, menu-heavy FM engines of the past, a simple to understand LED display indicates the current algorithm being used, so its easy to see what's happening and patch with intention as you summon clangorous bell tones, complex folded timbres, and decadently detuned drones. Each of Algo's oscillators features dedicated controls and CV inputs for frequency and level, providing a full FM voice with the addition of a few envelopes.

Once you've dialed in your oscillators, further timbre-sculpting options are at your disposal in Algo. Apply wave warping to carriers, modulators, or both, morphing simple sine waves into buzzy pulses and everywhere in between. Three modes of wavefolding add classic and creative harmonic content to your tones. Detune oscillators with a global spread control, perfect for making ominous and aggressive dissonances. For a final punch of rich thickness, a stereo chorus brings the final sizzling touch to your sound. With a comprehensive set of FM tools at your disposal and plenty of tweakable timbre shapers on-board, Algo is a compact powerhouse of complex FM synthesis, ready to bring new and exciting flavors to any system.
