Roland Aira System-1m
Roland’s System-1m is a versatile, backlit beast capable of semi-modular mayhem of the highest order. Not content to serve as a mere standalone instrument, though it accomplishes this task quite well, the System-1m has both external inputs and CV/Gate ins/outs that enable it to converse with other modular gear.
The System-1m is capable of astonishing sonic variety, from raunchy lows to creamy arpeggiations, to the incorporation of Roland’s groundbreaking PLUG OUT technology, which makes use of their Analog Circuit Behavior technology to recreate the architecture of several classic Roland synthesizers including the SH-101, SH-2, and PROMARS.
The module can fit into a standard 19” rack, used as a tabletop synthesizer, or mounted in a Eurorack setup. Conveniently, the System-1m can be triggered via MIDI sent by an external controller or DAW.
