Roland’s Bitrazer is a unique modular effect that combines bit crushing and sample rate reduction effects to achieve sonic characteristics that some would describe as an aesthetic deconstruction of the inserted audio signal. The module can be used as a tabletop effect unit or within the context of a Euroack modular setup. It’s front panel features large, accessible knobs and fully reprogrammable front panel controls.
Bitrazer can be used for subtle sample rate reduction and bit crushing effects or to create a bucket of sonic garbage. The module features CV control over sample rate, filter type, signal bypass, cutoff, bit depth, and resonance; stereo ins/outs (meaning it can be used as a 24bit/96kHz interface); and AIRA Link USB compatibility.
Bitrazer features 15 virtual sub-modules:
LFO, ADSR, NOISE, SAMPLE & HOLD, RING MOD, FILTER 6 dB, FILTER 12 dB, TONE, AMP, MIXER, STEREO MIXER, CURVE CONV, GATE DIVIDER, TRIG TO CV DELAY TIME, MIDI CLOCK TO GATE
