Roland AIRA Compact P-6

Roland expands their AIRA Compact lineup with the P-6, a compact eight-bank, six-pad sampler and granular synth packed with features and effects. The core of the P-6 is sampling and it gives you a few ways to do that: using the built-in mic, the line input or the USB-C port. Choose between sample rates and lengths from 44.1 giving you 5.9 seconds of sampling time, to 22k for 11.8s, to 14.7k upping it to 17.8s, and all the way down to 11k for the longest sampling time of 23.7s, these all assume mono, half length for stereo. When sampling you have access to 6 different pads across 8 banks which gives you a total of 48 possible samples with each sample capable of being chopped into sections or played chromatically using the built-in secondary pads. Using the Sequencer, you can play melodic passages or program chops for each of the pads.

The P-6 is also a powerful Granular Synth that is easily accessed by the dedicated Granular button, choose your sample and play it mono or polyphonically using the built-in keyboard or with a MIDI controller. Use the effects buttons and controls to activate 1 of 20 effects on the fly, using them momentarily and only on the pads you want. Roland's P-6 is a fantastic and welcome addition to the AIRA Compact lineup.
