The Rode VideoMic Pro+ is a full-fledged shotgun microphone designed for use with DSLR cameras, camcorders, and portable audio recorders. Integrated digital switching provides automatic high-frequency boost for clarity and detail, safety channel to help prevent against clipping, three-stage gain control with +20dB function, and two-stage highpass filter to reduce traffic sound, air conditioning noise, and other unwanted rumble. It powers off of micro USB, LB-1 lithium ion rechargeable battery, or two AA batteries. A built in battery door makes replacing the batteries easy, and an automatic power function turns off the mic when unplugged to maximize battery life.
