Perhaps the gnarliest Rainger FX pedal to date, the Dr Freakenstein Chop Fuzzz transcends beyond traditional fuzz usage into extreme modulation and near self-generating tones. Filled with ripping gated fuzz tones, Chop Fuzzz contains the core fuzz circuit from each beloved iteration of the Dr. Freakenstein fuzz, but its sound is expanded with the inclusion of Overtone, LFO, and Chop sections. Overtone sits somewhere between the sonic spaces of wahs and phasers, able to be set manually or modulated by the included Igor experession pad. LFO serves two purposes: signal modulation at lower rates, and tone/drone generation at faster speeds—both settings feature independent controls, and are toggled with the Slow/Fast footswitch. Finally, Chop is a square-wave tremolo that may be optionally synced with the LFO, yielding all sorts of bubbly, gurgly, and otherwise bizarre sounds you won't find anywhere else.
