Qu-Bit Electronix Chord v2
Chord v2 is a long-awaited update to the Qu-Bit’s original polyphonic oscillator. While gaining a tremendous reduction in HP size, the module kept all the beloved functionality of its predecessor and even attained a few new tricks up its sleeve. A first improvement worth mentioning is not only the extended selection of default waveforms but also an option to add custom user wavetables via the sd card, located at the back of the unit. The overall frequency range of the oscillator is also doubled. Besides the traditional ‘chord’, two more modes were added to the unit: melody and polyphonic. In the melody mode, the seventh chord tone gets decoupled from the chord structure, allowing it to be used independently via ‘lead’ input. In the polyphonic mode, all four voices can be tuned and played independently. The new version of the module also allows the users to program and save custom chord tunings, which opens it up to the world of microtonal music.
Chord v2 Features

The Prism is an interesting combination of time based effects that can produce comb filtering and delay effects, there is also a multi-mode filter and decimator effect. The order and routing of these effects can be changed and the delay can be frozen giving many different effect options from this one module. The Prism is also stereo!
We used two Verbos modules for an envelope and VCA/Filter, The Control Voltage Processor and Amplitude & Tone Controller.
In this video we will dip our feet in the water of wavetable synthesis and use WaveEdit to create wavetables for Chord.
