The PM-2 from PreSonus are a perfectly matched stereo pair of small-diaphragm condenser microphones that work great on acoustic instruments, ensembles, and drum overheads. The 3/4" gold-spluttered capsule provides clear and accurate performance. It's easy to optimally position the microphones to your needs thanks to the lightweight design. The cardioid polar pattern only picks up sounds directly from the front of the microphones, blocking off-axis sounds from the sides and rear. Get fantastic stereo imaging from the pair, or use each microphone independently, but know that either way you'll be getting a top-notch performance.
