Presonus HP-4
The Presonus HP-4 is a headphone distribution system that makes use of special 150mW headphone amplifiers to ensure that all headphones receive an optimal amount of power.
HP-4 features left and right line-level ins and outs alongside four headphone outs. Users can adjust the master headphone level to taste, sum stereo signals to a single mono signal, and mute rear monitor outs. This latter feature is useful during instances where recording is transpiring in front of studio monitors, as it gives engineers the ability to mute the signal routed to the monitors as opposed to manually turning down the level and dealing with the resulting headache.
