Pope's BAX2020 Beast 500 series module takes the Baxandall EQ and brings it to your 500 series rack and this version adds a little extra sauce to the inputs and outputs. The Baxandall EQ is a simple shelving EQ, but it features a gently rising and falling curve to create a more natural sound with less phase distortion. Use the Hi and Lo controls to perfectly dial in your track or make sweeping changes to a bus or master. With the Beast version, you get an Avedis 1122 on the input, the same op-amp found on the first 312A mic pres, plus an additional 1122 on the output. At lower volumes there is not much difference between this version and the Classic version, however, when pushed with louder signals you get a lovely break-up.
