Pioneer DDJ-200

Pioneer DDJ-200 is a great introductory DJ controller meant for use with the WeDJ app for iPhone. Connect via Bluetooth and load up tracks from SoundCloud, Beatport, or your own iPhone's storage. Other compatible apps include WeDJ for Android, DJAY, Rekordbox DJ, and more. The DDJ-200 features a two channel mixer with three-band EQ and color FX control. There are eight pads per channel that can be used differently depending on what mode you're in. Hot cue will set points that you can jump to using the buttons. Loop will activate a looped section and hold you in it, this can be done manually or automatically. The pads determine the length of the loop from 16th note to eight bars. Loops can be used in conjunction with the hot cue mode. Pad FX are momentary effects that are brought in and out with the pads. Different FX can be assigned to the eight pads and are applied post fader. The sampler mode assigns eight samples to the eight pads. The WeDJ app includes an XY pad that can be used to bring in effects and works in conjunction with the color FX knob. The slicer mode slices the track into individual transients which can be played back in the app. Transition FX adds an effect to the crossfader and can function as a build up or breakdown, with cut in or mix parameters present in these transitions.
