NUX Brownie

Get that classic 70's distortion in a compact package with the NUX Brownie distortion featuring a specially designed BJT input gain stage and an asymmetrical clipping circuit. Modeled after vintage amplifiers that utilize preamps and tube power amps, the Brownie has a hybrid circuit that also processes the bass frequencies differently at high gain to prevent muddiness. The Tone knob is designed to mimic the Variac, which lowers the voltage running into an old tube amp. To create the unique asymmetric clipping, a modern, low-noise op-amp with 2 red LEDs is used. If you want a tight, punchy sounding, vintage inspired distortion, the NUX Brownie is a great, compact option.
