Neumann U 47 FET Collector's Edition

The original U 47 microphone from Neumann is a beloved studio microphone, used for drums, vocals, or acoustic instruments, and now the U 47 FET Collector's Edition retains the essential elements that make it a go-to for studios around the world. Revamped and better than ever, the dual-diaphragm design has a great dynamic response and wide frequency response with a slight lift at 2kHz. Used extensively as a kick drum microphone, the U 47 stands up to high SPL and captures transients beautifully. The cardioid polar pattern does an exceptional job of picking up sound in front of it while rejecting off-axis sounds. Reduce the proximity effect and mechanical interference with the 140Hz low cut filter and extend the headroom with the -6dB pad. Building on the legacy of the original U 47, this collector's edition will become a staple in your repertoire.
