The Meris 440 is a preamp designed for guitars, utilizing Cinemag transformers on the input and output stages to provide that classic American preamp tone. Add up to 60dB of gain with an independently adjustable output level that ranges from -27dB to +12dB. +48V phantom power, a 20dB pad, and phase inversion switches help tailor the preamp to your needs. Adjust the frequency content with both a high pass filter switchable between 80 and 200Hz and a high shelf switchable between 4kHz and 7kHz. Connect the 440 to your outboard effects with the effects loop with send and return available on the front panel. The effects loop comes post pad, phase, and both filters. The return input can also be used as an instrument DI input but does not pass through the pad, phase, or filters. Capturing the sweet guitar sound found on many hit records, the 440 is an all-around great preamp.
