Shape audio waveforms into completely new timbres with the compact Farbshaper from Making Sound Machines. Inspired by circuits like the Serge Triple Waveshaper, the core circuit found in Farbshaper was originally designed as a way to turn ramp signals into sine waves. Of course, by cascading multiple stages into each other, an array of nonlinear waveshaping sounds are uncovered—Farbshaper itself features two stages of shaping.

Farbshaper is strongly dependent on the volume of incoming signals, and so it features a Gain control at the top to attenuate signals for more subtle effects. Each stage is given its own level control, first Fold and then Pleat, and the interaction of these two knobs and their CV inputs leads to numerous variations on folded and shaped timbres.
