Whether you need to EQ or venture into sound design territories, L-1's Dual Discrete VC Equalizer / Resonator is both utilitarian and exploratory. At the core of this module are two bandpass filters built from discrete Blacksea gain cells, with frequency ranges that extend well across the audible spectrum from 16Hz to 16kHz. The module can operate in one of two ways: as a two band parametric EQ, or as a dual resonator. In either mode, bandwidth controls the Q of each channel, and level will boost or cut by up to 16dB. Either channel may also be flipped into a low or high shelf mode, and self-oscillation is available for calibration purposes.
