Kush Audio Electra
The Kush Audio Electra is a pristine analog EQ designed to affect how transients and harmonic energy interrelate, allowing for a host of creative and distinctly musical possibilities to be achieved. The unit’s midrange is remarkably smooth, the low-end is characteristically tight, and the high-end is quintessentially analog.Â
The Electra’s dual Proportional-Q bands prevent unnatural or stressed sounds, even under extreme conditions. The filter becomes narrower as the boost and/or cut is increased, allowing for gentle operation at low gains, and dynamic power at higher gains. Because the Electra’s shape is both musical and adaptive, it adds a tailored tightness, brightness, and depth to just about anything it processes.Â
Additionally, the Electra features a fixed low shelf alongside a continuously variable 12dB/Oct HPF with some added bite. Combined, these filters can efficiently clean up a muddy track or tame a disorderly low-end. The high shelf is a nod to vintage mastering EQs, and impeccably applies a distinctly smooth high-end that no plugin can match.
