Korg Modwave MkII Module

Encapsulating the full power of Korg's contemporary wavetable synthesis techniques into a desktop and rackmount package, Modwave MkII Module handily pushes the legacy of the DW-8000 into the future. Augmenting deep wavetable and sample customization with Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0, you may never run out of sonic directions to explore.

Modwave ships with over 200 factory wavetables, each packed with 64 waveforms for an extensive sonic range. But that's not all—two oscillators per voice can be stacked together and subjected to over 30 different waveform Modifiers, 13 flavors of Morphing, blended waveforms, and much more. All this to say, even the factory content might leave you happy for the rest of your life, but the ability to supplement these with custom samples and wavetables in both Serum and WaveEdit formats ensures that you'll never tire of Modwave.

In addition to a variety of LFOs, envelope generators, and key-tracking modulation sources, Korg has included the novel Kaoss Physics engine. Based on their classic touchpad effects processors, Modwave extends the classic Kaoss Pad interface with a simulation of a ball in space. The movement of this ball and its relation to virtual friction and gravity can be used as an organic modulation source. Furthermore, Motion Sequencing 2.0 allows you to automate multiple lanes of parameters at once, with interlocking loops of probabilistic parameter changes yielding an ever-evolving sonic stew.

Though it lacks a keyboard, Modwave MkII Module is ready to integrate with your studio. MIDI I/O and USB connectivity not only give it the ability to work with DAWs and controllers but also newly added support for MIDI 2.0 and polyphonic aftertouch brings the Modwave into the future. Bring some serious wavetable power into your music with the Modwave MkII Module from Korg.
