Korg’s Mini Kaoss Pad 2S is a robust effects unit with touchpad control over 100 different effects. The unit’s sampler section makes loading and triggering samples utterly painless. Additionally, the Mini KP 2S offers three different playback modes: one shot, gate, and loop. There is also an internal sample recorder that lets users record sounds present at the unit’s input (either though the line-in or built-in microphone) for further playback and manipulation. The unit can also be used as a more conventional audio playback device, where songs can be stored on cards and manipulated in realtime using the touch screen.
