The Koma Elektronik Dual Discrete VCA is a high-quality amplifier for audio signals with many user-friendly features. Each VCA channel features two AC-coupled inputs with adjustable pre-gain. The gain stages provide useful attenuation at lower settings before swaddling the input with tasty saturation as gain is increased. Two CV inputs, linear/exponential slope control, and bias/offset knobs optimize each channel for use with all manner of modulation sources. When left unpatched, the output of Channel A is mixed with the output of Channel B, allowing the Dual Discrete VCA to be used effectively as a colorful mixer as well.
